Tanzania's northern safari circuit, is renowned for offering some of the finest wildlife viewing holidays and tours in Africa. Its natural abundance of wildlife, along with the annual migration of millions of animals across its northern plains, make up a flourishing eco-system, which is now benefiting from the country's historical strict conservation measures.

There are several different routes up Kilimanjaro. Marangu is the only route with huts providing reasonably comfortable accommodation with bathing water every night. It is the most popular route, often referred to as the 'Coca-Cola' route (soft drinks are often available at the huts). This is the only route which can be done in five days, although six days are recommended to aid acclimatisation.Other routes Include :

All of the 'Big Five are present in Serengeti. Elephants are few in number on the wide grassy plains but more concentrated in the wooded areas of Lobo and the Western Corridor. An estimated 300 lion hunt on the central Seronera Plains alone, with more being dispersed around the park. Leopard, more elusive and very well camouflaged in the foliage of trees can often be spotted by their tails hanging down. Buffalo are significant in number and sizable herds are scattered throughout the park, whilst the few remaining black rhino are protected in an inaccessible area

A typical game drive will reveal vast herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, topi and various gazelles. The resident elephants are all old males, often with very large tusks, whilst the herds of females with their young pass though from time to time. Hyena are perhaps the most commonly spotted predator, although lion are also present in large numbers.
